I believe that therapy is an investment in yourself.

  • I value your time, my time & the work we will do together.

    I charge accordingly: 50-minute individual session – $200 // family & couple session – $250

When you enter into therapy with me, I commit to you. I ask you to be equally invested.

When you work with me, you are one of a handful of other clients who will get my knowledge, advice, experience & guidance. I have chosen to limit my caseload to provide a better service to the clients I meet with. Not only does this make the most practical sense, but it also serves as an example for my clients - many of whom are experiencing oppression in some capacity - to own their worth, value themselves & hold firm to it.

This is my way of leading by example & what I consider to be my own form of social justice work.

Beyond this value of mine, as a client, you are not simply paying for the time we meet together but also the behind-the-scenes work that I do, including training, research, treatment goals & seeking ongoing clinical consultation to serve you better.

I am an out-of-network provider. This means that we can work to develop a plan that works for you in your time and go at your pace without the regulations and restrictions of insurance. I can provide a statement for your insurance company.

Mental health is important, and to ensure services are available to everyone, I have several reduced-rate appointments - you only need to ask.

  • When I was paneled with insurance companies, I was often limited by the type of care I wished to provide & the length of time I needed to work with clients.

A person should not have to consistently qualify why they believe mental health therapy is necessary.

Because I believe in a different type of mental health therapy. One where a person views therapy as equally as important as exercising regularly, eating a healthy diet & taking their daily multivitamin. With more & more clinicians no longer paneling with insurance companies, we are helping to redefine what mental health therapy looks like - something that is valued & not to be managed by a bureaucracy.

As such, I now have the freedom to work with you & not within a managed healthcare system.

If your insurance covers ‘out-of-network providers’ (typically PPO insurance plans) they may reimburse you for part of my fee, you may contact them to determine what the reimbursement rates on your plan are.

You’ve got insurance, why choose not to use it? I get it but being an Out of Network Provider gives us flexibility in your therapy and allows us to truly meet you where you are at. Insurance companies require me to give you a diagnosis for billing purposes and they often put a restriction on the number of sessions. Since the insurance companies are paying for it, they also have the right to audit your file and determine if they will continue paying for sessions based on what they deem to be your progress.

  • Some helpful questions to ask your benefits team:

Do I have a mental or behavioral health policy with out-of-network benefits?

What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

How much does my insurance pay for an out-of-network provider?

Check reimbursement for CPT codes 90791, 90837, 90846 and 90847

Do I have an out-of-network deductible?

How much of my out-of-network deductible has been met?

What is the start date of the calendar year based on my out-of-network policy?

What is my patient responsibility (CoPay) for each session?

  • Now you can receive therapy wherever you are located in Washinton State.

Studies show that telehealth is just as effective as meeting in person. To be honest, I have done both & I believe online therapy is actually more effective than in-person.

I’ve noticed both my clients & myself are less rushed with online sessions. You don’t have to transition from wherever you are to meet with me. Therapy is intimate, with you coming to me in your own environment.

Many of my clients are used to putting on a figurative “mask” when they go out in public & this just doesn’t happen when you come to me from your own space. Furthermore, I love getting to know more about you as I get to meet your furry friends or various parts of your life that wouldn’t be possible if you were always coming into my office.

Online counseling is a great option for those who:

Live in an area with congested & unpredictable traffic.

Travel frequently or have alternate work schedules (shift work, on-call)

    Have limited childcare options

Live in remote areas or feel more comfortable at home.

    Are anxious about driving.

    Are overscheduled & overbooked.

If you’re still not sure if online therapy is right for you, schedule a free consultation with me and we can discuss if this format can help meet your needs.

  • In the case that I have reserved a spot for you, then that time will be exclusively yours.

If you must cancel an appointment, please do so at least 36 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Clients who miss appointments without canceling 36 hours in advance will be charged the full session fee. Since I am a solo practitioner, I realize that 36 hours is necessary in order to reschedule your time for someone else that may be in need of a session.

  • As a solo practitioner, my practice does not support those who need after-hours care or crisis services. I will not be a good fit for you if you need this level of care. If you are in crisis, please go to your local emergency room or call the National Suicide Prevention Hotline at 988.
